AEO and AI search
AEO in Bulgaria: being the answer when a customer asks ChatGPT or Gemini
Answer engine optimisation is the work that makes your pages readable and citable by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. The first condition, in Google's own words, is that the page is indexed and eligible for a snippet; everything else is being the clearest answer on that page. We check eight conditions, ask the assistants twenty questions from your field in Bulgarian, and change the pages in the order that has effect. The audit is €190; the work is inside the Growth package.

What changed
The customer now asks a question and gets three names, not ten blue links
Google shows AI Overviews above the results for a growing share of Bulgarian queries, and ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answer a question like “a good dentist in Plovdiv” with a handful of names and a reason for each. Those answers are built from pages the assistant could read and in which it found a clear answer. There is no separate index and no submission form: Google's guidance for AI features says a page has to be indexed and eligible to be shown with a snippet, and that unique, first-hand content will influence a site's presence in generative search more than any other single thing.
For a company in Bulgaria this is mostly good news. The market is small, the assistants have little Bulgarian-language material to choose from, and a page that answers a real question in plain Bulgarian, with the specifics only the business knows, is often the only candidate. The bad news is that most Bulgarian sites are invisible to every assistant except Google's: their text only exists after JavaScript runs, and independent measurement of hundreds of millions of AI crawler requests found that none of the non-Google crawlers execute it.
The eight conditions
What we check before we change anything, in the order that gates the rest
Indexed and snippet-eligible
If a page is not in Google's index, every other AEO finding on it is noise. We check the index status of every page that should be cited before we look at anything else.
Readable without JavaScript
The raw HTML word count, separately from the rendered page. A site can rank perfectly in Google and be blank to ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.
Crawlers allowed
robots.txt for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, each of which obeys only its own name. Cloudflare's managed block is the usual culprit.
An answer in the first paragraphs
The opening of the page states the actual fact, in Bulgarian, and stands alone when lifted out. A price page whose opening has no price gives an assistant nothing to quote.
Non-commodity content
First-hand detail, a point of view, specifics an outsider could not write. A page that restates what is already online has no case however it is marked up.
One identity in the data
Organisation, Service and Article nodes with one @id each, the same name, address and phone as the Google profile, and no two URLs claiming to be the same thing.
Corroboration elsewhere
Mentions on Bulgarian directories, trade bodies and media that say the same thing about you. An assistant treats a claim made on one site as a claim, and the same claim on five as a fact.
Profile and feeds
Google names the Business Profile and Merchant Center feeds as inputs to its AI answers. For a shop, feed readiness is AEO work; for a local business, the profile is.
How we measure it
Twenty questions, four assistants, before and after
An AI visibility score from a tool is a heuristic and we label it as one. What we measure is simpler: what the assistants actually answer today, and what they answer after the work.
| What | In the audit | In the monthly work |
|---|---|---|
| The questions | Twenty questions a customer would ask about your services, in Bulgarian, agreed with you | Re-asked every month; new ones added as your pages change |
| The assistants | Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity; Bing Copilot where you sell abroad | The same four, logged with the date |
| The pages | Which of yours are citable, which are invisible without JavaScript, which are not indexed | Rewritten in the order that has effect; new answer pages where a question has none |
| The competitor | Who is cited instead of you, and from which page | What that page has that yours lacks, fixed |
| The report | One document, yours to give to anyone | One section of the monthly report, with the before and after |
What it costs
One audit, or inside the month
The AI visibility audit is €190 one-off, and it is deducted from the first invoice if you start a monthly package within 60 days. The work itself is inside the Growth package at €390 a month and the Market package at €690: the pages we write each month are written to be cited, the structured data is kept to one identity, and the assistants are re-asked every month. The Local package at €190 covers the Google Business Profile, which is the AI input that matters most for a business in one city.
Everything is on the pricing page, and the free audit already includes the first pass: we ask the assistants about your services before we reply.

Questions about AEO
Is AEO a separate service from SEO?
Not in practice. Google's own guidance says a page can only appear in an AI feature if it is indexed and eligible for a snippet, and there is no separate AI index. AEO is the second half of the same work: an answer in the first paragraphs, facts an outsider could not write, structured data that names you, and a site that crawlers without JavaScript can read. We sell it inside the Growth and Market packages, and as a one-off audit for a company that wants to know where it stands first.
Which assistants matter in Bulgaria?
Google AI Overviews, because they sit above the results the country already uses; ChatGPT, because it is the assistant most Bulgarians name; Gemini, because it is inside Android and Google Workspace; and Perplexity for the professional buyer. Bing Copilot is fed by Bing's index and matters for a company selling into Western Europe. The audit asks all of them the same twenty questions in Bulgarian.
Can you get us mentioned in ChatGPT?
We can make you citable, and we can measure whether you are cited. Nobody can place a company in an assistant's answer the way an ad is placed, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. What moves the needle is being the clearest, most specific answer on an indexed page, plus the mentions on other sites that an assistant reads as corroboration.
Does llms.txt help?
Google says it ignores it, and we take Google at its word. We serve one because some assistants read it and it costs nothing, and we link it in the footer so a person can see what a machine is told. We would not sell it as a service, and we would be wary of anyone who does.
What does the AI visibility audit cost and what do I get?
€190 one-off. You get the eight-condition check on your site, the answers the assistants give today to twenty questions from your field with the competitor they cite instead of you, a list of which of your pages are citable and which are invisible to non-JavaScript crawlers, and the changes per page in the order they have effect. It is deducted from the first monthly invoice if you start a package within 60 days.
